"Like" option like facebook

i dont know if someone already posted this idea but i thought this idea was pretty okay for steam community. I think it would make the community page more exciting and it would tell people they like things like for example the pictures you post up from screen shots, comments on peoples profiles and pictures.

It is not a social network at the moment.

^ Uh, of course it's a social network. You can build a network of people (your friends list) and be social with them (chat, comments, play games, etc).

And even if it wasn't, that's not actually an argument. It's like if someone suggested there should be a brown and green skin for the client, and your counterargument was that Steam isn't a tree.

'don't like'
'i don't give a '
'mommy I'm hungry, gimme my soup'

What do you mean its not a social network? Meeting people by playing games is a social network. Chatting with them and keeping intouch. Thats why there's a community page. I think they should make the community page more exciting and make it worth using.

You know, if I wanted to make friends, I'd create facebook account. But I don't want to. I just want to have basic distribution system for video games. I pay, they give me games, simple. Screw that whole social aspect, which seems to be neccesity in every application nowadays. I don't care about making friends, just give me my games and leave me alone
