Library looks different or my memory fails me?

My hardrive died so I had to re-install steam.
When I opened my library for the first time I had the feeling something was different....or missing.
My question to you is:

When you go to your Library in detailed view, are there
game icons in front of your games?

I see those icons in small mode but not in large mode.
I could have sworn they were also in large mode before
the re-install? But I'm not sure

No, the icons do not show in large mode detailed view.

Depends on whether you enable them or not.

At the top of the scroll bar next the the game titles, there's a +. You can select whether or not games show by their name, their icon, or both (but not neither).

Ah, looks like I was being presumptuous: You can only show or hide icons in Detail View; names stay.
