Why does the game has 'partial clipping'?
You can walk through you teammates, but if two stand in the same spot, they repel each other. This also allows griefers to push you off from ledges. It also applies to allied engineer buildings.
I can't think of any reason why Valve could have designed the game to function like this, so, why not remove clipping entirely? |

Because allowing teammates to block each other but not be able to do anything about it is a griefer's dream.

A game with full clipping allows griefing on a massive scale.
A game without clipping is called Garry's Mod. |

might be interesting downside on some weapon/item, "can't go trough teammates. " though i guess no one would use such item for long, except maybe on arena

If two heavies are standing in the exact same place and get shot, who gets damaged?

Because then spies would run backwards through enemies and get easy backstabs.
Or walk through engies to sap their gear, or walk through SGs..Basically, bumping is a good way to spycheck and it keeps spies from having super easy backstabs. |

No, OP is saying that ALLIES shouldn't partially clip with each other. You know how you can grief a sniper by standing "inside" them and slowly pushing them around, etc?
