There are quite a few domination/revenge lines where other classes clearly refer to the pyro as a woman, like mentioning ovaries and such.

They strongly hint, however it is not above Valve to do things just to troll and confuse people.

I hope they reveal it in the Meet the pyro.

It should be noted that those are taunts, and it is common to taunt men by referring to them as female.
