Question Retail copy on Steam?

Alan Wake isn't listed on Steam's official list of retail games which can be registered, but according to Amazon, it requires Steam to play.

Can someone please confirm whether I can register a retail copy on Steam or not?

Definitely. I bought it from Green Man Gaming in the form of a Steam key.

All digital and box copy of the game are steamworks.
EXCEPT gog copy, which is DRM free.
