clear up a spawn beacon issue

sometimes i spawn on it, sometimes i parachute towards it. what are the conditions for a parachute spawn

I believe if it is placed in an open outdoor area you will parachute in. If it's inside you will spawn on it. It most likely depends on the map though. I don't ever recall parachuting in on a the Bazaar map.

Yep, it depends on the placement and map. On the infantry focused maps I believe you always spawn on it regardless of placement. On the more traditional maps if is placed in the open you will parachute instead of spawning on it.

The spawning on some maps(big ones) i guess is ment to be somewhat realistic, as if you were dropped from an airoplane.

Also prevents spawncamping slightly.

Also, it has the advantage for snipers to use.. place it -> suicide -> spawn on it -> parachute to some high place.
Why is this good you may ask, getting deaths is never good? Well, atleast they don't camp the jets/helis to do it.

It depends on a map. On big maps there is parachute spawning but in small maps you always spawn on the beacon.

Parachute spawn happens (or should happen) if you don't put spawn beacon in side a building.

If you put it high up enough you'll just spawn on it or at least that's what I've gathered. Even if there is no roof above you.

It must depend on the map or spot I guess. I've placed one near the top of the under construction buildings on Oman and when placed out on a spot with nothing overhead I parachuted down, but under the covered areas I would spawn on it.

I've never placed one at the top of the Caspian antenna though, which I assume is the highest spot possible in the game to place one.

"If a player places the beacon close enough to a solid object, the player and their squad can spawn hundreds of feet in the air with a parachute. This can only happen if the beacon is placed outside. "

Roadkill in the air? Yes, it is very possible, at it's most satisfying when you do it to a pilot that just bailed his jet.
