That doesn't work with robots. Zombies, vampires, lawyers, all spread their disease via bites to recruit new victims, whereas robots just want your fleshy carbon-based hides gone. They want more metal, not meat.

But if they are the overlords they're not gonna want to keep doing the vacuuming, car manufacturing and food refrigerating anymore. I could offer to do it for them in exchange for my life.

You're more work than you're worth. Considering all the things you need to stay alive, food, warmth, a place to ♥♥♥♥, then the labour saved is outweighed by the stuff you need to keep you alive. Plus, you'll die pretty quickly. Better to just kill you now and be done with it.

True this. That's why I was thinking of putting my brain in a robot body even if there's no robot uprising. It would certainly release a pretty big burden.

Remember that episode of Doctor Who, when all those people were turned into Cybermen, then the Doctor disabled their emotion inhibitor? And then they all started screaming "I'M SO COLD" and died from sheer misery? Yeah, the whole "robot body" thing probably isn't such a great idea.
