Continuous "ghost chats"
As of late, steam group chats seem to be more and more "ghosted", i.e. seemingly full of people but actually no-one in chat (if you check the group page). You can type messages and they appear for you in the chat box, but nothing is actually sent and you won't receive anything. What's up with this?

I used to get these all the time ages ago, then they stopped. Now they're back it seems.
It's annoying when you don't realise that you've been in a ghost chat for an hour, and most likely missed a bunch of conversation and fun times. |

Bump, any word on this? It seems like a fairly major issue, but I never hear about it except for vague annoyance in chat

This happens almost on a daily basis. I guess it's not noticed because generally few people actually use group chat in Steam, but I'm always in a heavily populated chat and this happens without fail multiple times a day.

Nobody actually talks in a group chat, unless it's a clan meeting or something.
