"thumbs up" equiment ?

hi,

do anyone know what the "thumps up" in the equipment info is based on?, because I've been getting a thumps up on pieces of armor that has less upgrades than mine, and the stats are worse, like unlucky type, negatives on resists and still says it's better than mine?

I don't know if this has been posted on the forums and i have not looked at their official forums.
