I'm glad you guys didn't wait for a complete 32bit fix before releasing this, last I looked at the poll, something like 87% of users were 64bit, so I think you've made the right choice.

Hang in there.

We will be posting an official update about all of this
So when you said you were waiting for a response from Epic to fix the 32 bit problem then said that Epic had finally got back to you with the information you needed, what exactly did you mean?

What did he mean? Here is your answer:

It's a jungle out there, the sheer amount of posts makes it hard to find anything again. I also thought they were waiting for a 32bit fix from Epic. Had to track through pages of posts from DPrassel to find out why:

It appears it's an extremely common problem. Happens on all sorts of games. I guess developers just don't care and let their community handle it themselves? I am hoping to find a more natural way as there just has to be something... *rubs chin*:

For Patch 1 it may be a major fix for 64bit users. We will also include a work-around hotfix for 32bit users that will allow them to run the game. Then this will allow me to attempt a long-term fix in time for Patch 2 (aimed for later this week / the start of next week).
But earlier DPrassel wrote what they were actually requiring help from Epic for:

The fix should be made available very shortly. Once this is integrated and tested quickly we will be making the Upload announcement.

Could join SOME matches before but now none?!?!?!

I have nothing wrong with Spiral and I have waited patiently for the patch yet now I can't join a single match, It always says the match you requested to join is using downloadable content or something like that so now I can't join any games, I think I might need to do something but the game has been updated. I would appreciate your help, thank you in advance.

The server you are trying to play in is not patched. just need to wait it out till they are patched.

David Prassel confirmed this, though i can't be bothered to search the hundreds of post he makes to find it.

The game runs as a 32 bit application, but 64bit users can use more than 2GB of data while 32bit systems are limited to this size. That was his explanation why they needed a hotfix for 32bit users.

(I'm simplifying here, as i'm not an expert on this.)

The hotfix don't work, just saying. Because if you read the hotfix is for those with a 7/Vista with problems.

I bought the 4 pack at launch and the game was pathetic.. so I hoped that a patch would fix it and beyond a few improvements, the game is still awful.. terrible sound effects, terrible graphics.. but what's the worst thing? ZERO EXPLANATION FOR ANYTHING.. I don't want to waste my time running all over the place just to find out what I'm supposed to be doing.. I drive in circles and nothing indicates what objects are power generators, how you buy anything, what the actual objective is other than "don't die"... I feel robbed.. I played 5 mins with 1 of my friends and we haven't used it since.. how 'bout giving a full refund for taking everyone's money and not providing a functional product after almost half a year? If this game was free to play, it would just be irritating that you wasted our time. However, when you advertise a working game and then sell us this crap, now it's virtually theft.

haha ya thanks for the welcome.. I just can't believe they got away with selling this.. I mean the Fraghouse Invasion mod for Unreal Tournament 2004 was a way better game than this in every possible way and it was just a free friggin mod.. It especially ticked me off that the trailer videos for this game make it look perfectly functional..
I guess this will be $30.00 that I'll never see again.. But rest assured, I'll look for the developer's name on everything from now on.. Fool me once, and all that.. they may have won the battle but they'll never get another dime from me so I think I'll win the war.. they should just rename themselves "conartist studios" but I guess that would be oddly honest for them.. *deep breath* ok, rant over..
