Microsoft Flight won't start?

Every time I start Microsoft Flight, Steam says it is performing "first time setup", and then tries to load the game and crashes.

Try verifying cache. I think thats what most people have had to do with similar issues.

So I've done the above... and still nothing.

The prompt from Steam to keep installing things has disappeared, but I still can't load the game.

Help? Anyone?

Don't mess with your graphics drivers if you have ATI and are using version 12.1 drivers. Those are the last that are known to work with Flight. You may need to download that version if you have a newer one. This is unlikely to help your problem though.

The fault bucket ID is enough to tell the developers what the problem is. If you don't get an answer here shortly, send an email with all the information to

msflight@microsoft.com

If you've changed the default locations of your application data, especially the DLC, there are things than can cause problems. If you didn't change the defaults, don't worry about it. If you did, let us know what the new paths were.

So, give this a go:

Uninstall Windows LIVE Sign-in assistant (ver 6.5)

then download this version (7.0) http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/w...e-id-providers

6.5 has been causing some issues with users who are on vista/win 7, but 7 does not work with XP, so, give that download a try and see if it gets you up and flying.
