Besides the intense lag I experience on my Windows 7 computer, I am also perplexed about WHEN exactly to input the CD key. I got to the (incredibly laggy) tutorial district and still no prompt to insert the key appeared.

I'm from Australia and play on a Hong Kong server with no lag. However, there is some noticeable lag on the North America server.
The CD-Key is input at the ARMAS Marketplace --> Redeem Key. You can access the ARMAS Marketplace @ Inventory & Purchase Menus. -A4. |

Disabling crossfire does not work on a DUAL-GPU graphics card (6990, 5970) will not work. Crossfire can only be disabled where the graphics cards exist separately in Crossfire.

I launched the game using the default (global) settings with RadeonPro - it still caused lock-ups, even though the global profile settings shouldn't be different to running the game with the RP profile disabled. I'm stumped; but maybe it's just me - have a go disabling crossfire in RP and see if it works for you. |

Game crashes on start-up no matter what I do, or how I launch the game. Gives me Error Code: 0x779ee23e (General Protection Fault!)
Specs: i5-750 @ 2.69 GHz Radeon 6970 2GB 4 GB RAM Windows 7 64-Bit Dual 1920x1080 monitors RealTek onboard sound, or a PreSonus FireStudio, neither make a difference. |

I have no idea about this crash - you may want to check UT3 Engine support - they may have a guide to this Error code.

1. Turn off your second monitor; Window key + P key is the shortcut 2. Start the game 3. Play for few minutes; 2 or 3 minutes tops should do it 4. Alt+Tab out of the game to your desktop 5. Turn on your second monitor 6. Alt+Tab into the game After doing all that the game should work with your second monitor remaining active. Just make sure you play the game for a few minutes; I tried these steps when initially loading the game, before associating my Steam account/logging in, and it didn't seem to work. The really cool thing is that this seems to be a perma-fix...after turning off the game, you can start it up again with the second monitor active, and you'll never have to go though the Alt+Tab hoops again. The game will always start normally from that point on. I've had this dual monitor issue with both APB Reloaded and the game Gangland (an old 2004 PC game I got from gog.com) and this fix has worked with both games, so I'm thinking it's sort of a universal fix. I don't believe I have any other games that have the dual monitor problem so I can't say for sure, but this has worked with two completely different games, so hopefully this method is a cure all. |
