well there is plenty of features that doesn't work well (both techland features and mine), but what do you have on your mind specificaly?

about default FOV - I have added link into download section

Man good mod but in singleplayer this is way to hard I can't even get past the first mission when you rescue the life guard

yes, its extremely hard mission for the beginning. later the game becomes easier. how to make it: use propan bombs, close zombies behind fence gate and always release few of them. attack them from place they cant reach. if u are out of energy drinks and/or weapons and your situation is hopeless u can always save, quit and restart to get more items and try again (at least u will still be levelling up)
i will try to make a video about this mission.

and well if u still can't make it, u can uninstall mod and install it again after u make save at lighthouse.
it's also possible to delete only folders AI/Infected and AI/Zombies so zombies will become easy to kill again (but their numbers will remain increased)

I can't confirm this. Sinamoi still doesn't realize that all zombies are defeated. retried this 3 times.

thanks for info. well then i will have to find where are these zombies saved in map files specificaly.

meanwhile i am very sorry and i recommend quit game, uninstall mod, run game, finish the quest, quit game and install mod again. Actually you can only delete (uninstall) Maps folder and quest will stay quite hard (original number of zombies, but with upgraded skills)

btw for faster loading of the game i recommend adding parameter -nologos into starting file. (like "C:\Program Files (x86)\Techland\Dead Island\deadislandgame.exe" -nologos)

Question Can I have a look inside yr kitchen plz…

Congratulations creator(s) of the Dawn of the Living Dead mod!
Your mod seems to be the only one that can truly increase the amount of enemies,
without crashing in MP!

May I ask how you did that?
Is upping the enemy (in events) by a factor of x8 (x4) the max stability-wise in MP?

I ruined Dead Island for myself by playing with the x25 mod:

And now I can’t go back anymore.
I don’t care about the spawn-fountains and I actually think I kinda fixed that.
But whenever we go on-line with that mod, it crashes!

We always start off hunky-dory and go through a couple of hundred zombies and infected.
But whenever we reach the lifeguard-house it crashes before we can start the mission.
(Just before that happens the skulls on the minimap start flickering like there is no tomorrow.)
In single-player the x25 mod runs like a dream, but is it too much too handle for MP?

I didn't touch the "ai_props.scr" or the "startprop.def" -file.
I did however changed the: "base_player_attacker"
and "max_player_attackers" in the AI -.scr files.
I have tested several values, high and low, but to no avail.

Could you point me in the right direction?
Or have you already reached the MP ceiling with your factor of x8?

Let me just be clear about one thing; your mod is way superior to this x25 “hex-work”!
But you must know that I running around with gun-toting-maniacs in my crew,
who really don’t care about melee combat, RPG elements, or critical hit damage.
I think they want a kinda L4D3 on a tropical Island with free-roam options.
Can’t blame them, sounds fantastic! And what we have experienced so far was really special.
Could you help us?

@pethl... there could be a conflict with the mini map. Main mission zombies show up in the mini map (like gunmen do in the city)
If there are too many zombies/skulls in the mini map it could lock up the game... If you can find a way to remove the mini map skulls, it could fix your problem.
