Does anybody here know how to use the 'Cinematic Camera'?

Not sure which one that is. Do you mean what camera view that is, or is it a recording function?

The number keys will toggle thru the different cameras, and I use FRAPS (the pro version) to make a video.

I guess the cinematic view would be the one you get when you press 4,
and the camera follows the train from different angles?

If so, all you do is press 4 on your keyboard really.

Just wish they had offset the camera 10 or 20 degrees.
Hate that straight ahead over the top look.

You never see a moving train at track level from directly in front in real life. Or not for long....

Any one know of a file hack to change it?

I didn't realise until recently that you can press the 4 key one time after another rather than just once and hope you get the view you want.

Of course you will get the same view if the scenery is tight to the track still.

No hacks needed, use the "2" view, what I call the fly cam, left click and hold to change camera angle, arrow keys to zoom in and out. Even with the "4" view, "drive by" cam, you use arrow keys to zoom in and out.

It would be nice if some of the 'drive by' cams were on a station platform.
Are they somthing you can position in the Editor?

That would be good, I use the freeroam camera arrows plus shift key to do it quick but you have got to be fast if you are doing 70mph.

I'm talking about the 'cinematic camera' in the World Editor' in the browser field. I'm wondering if this makes a video or is it just a static prop that doesn't do any thing?

Exactly. This is when an offset 4 view is needed.
Sometimes I just want to gawp like the kid I was from the trackside.
Not race alongside like an olympic runner.

Good question, I've never tried it. Actually didn't realize it was in the Editor.
