That the only way I can kill the Pat after everyone else dies, is if I am a medic only carrying an xbow.
Seriously, the speed, extra healing, and armor efficiency are the only way I can solo the Pat.
I have to choose my class based on whether or not I believe I will be the last alive, and that can reduce the overall damage output of the group.

Sure, I take headshots at him, but I try to conserve arrows for the time I am alone, so overall damage is reduced.

Sorry, just my little rant.

But man is it a rush when it happens.

Really depends on difficulty, but some classes are just better at some things :P

However if i ever do have to solo i usually have to do it with no vest due to actively helping my team kill him.

Whats with this hate nowadays.
And for me, the last time my team died on normal difficulty (lol), I killed the patriarch as a lvl 4 support specialist with the aa12 shotgun.
Just tell your team to search for an good obstacle, like a trash can, it is hilarious how it blocks all the minigun shots wenn you just cover behind it.

I don't stand around. I take (conservative) shots at the Pat, and I giveth teh heels out. But since I am a medic, I don't give out extra damage from class bonuseseseses.

And that is the only real problem I have.

You're a medic, use your insane body armor to block shots that could kill teammates.

With a bad team this is the way I choose to play (as medic)for the last round. I'm not going to stay near them (to block rockets/shoots?! surrounded by their blinky-blink pipes at our feet) but I try to do my best to help them. For example In open area maps I try to be the bait for Patriarch, running around something so they could shoot him while he's chasing me. and the story could be longer...

But this should not be a rant. More like a challenge IF you're in the mood of course.

A team is only effective when it's working together, since you expect them to die or see that they're newbies, then just try to take command and setup good positions for them to stand near you to defend.
If you're a good player, helping your teammates will help you win more.

I meant use your insane speed and armor to help your team in anyway possible. (I was in a rush

I have killed the Patty with an M14 as a medic so XBOW is not the only weapon for medic (although i would prefer an XBOW).
Not that I had any choice in the matter.
People from the server attempted to kick me on joining and gave me no money (not that I cared)

.

So I took the M14 off one of the guys who died (who attempted to kick me) and Killed the Patty with it.

When I killed the Patty I was called a mf then they all left the session

I did the run around the car and shoot from the hip to defeat the Patty.
