My game didn't save?
So I've arrived in the caves and decided to stop playing and continue at a later time. Now I open up the game and I can't choose to start from the cave. I don't see a save option and I was hoping that it would automatically open up the cave or even the buoy once I either opened the chapter or finished. Unfortunately the only chapter I can start with is the first chapter.
Is this how it has to be? Or am I missing something? |

I don't know if it was designed that way, but it doesn't let you choose the chapter unless you complete the game first (in one sitting). Anyway, here's how I got around it: add "-console" to the launch options for the game in Steam and type "map" followed by the map name. There are 4 maps, the first chapter is "esther" and the last one is "paul". So yours should be one of the 2 others. And there is a way to quicksave by pressing F6. I was stumped to find out that it didn't automatically save my progress. |

Actually, I was very surprised when I encountered the exact same issue. Not only because it seems like total BS, but additionally because I'd watched the console, and it autosaved every 7 or so seconds. Why would it save so much if it didn't let you recover the saves?
And then it dawned on me that it did let you recover the saves. Type "load quick", see if that works (it did for me, thank god.) |
