I still see 5-6 Lotusclan servers...

are they at least removed from the Quickplay feature?

Learn to reading comprehension.
Do you mean "learn to comprehend what you're reading?"

Don't start telling people to comprehend what you are saying until you can "learn to writing".

I think Lotusclan just stopped lying to the Server Browser, so they're no longer breaking the rule.

Sure, servers like that are ty, but there's no harm in letting them do that to themselves.

OT, this is awesome. Instead of having to go in and blacklist hundreds of servers every week or so, hopefully Valve will nip this in the bud.

Nope. All they did was either show the bots were there or remove the bots.

Which shows, people just want all "bad" (subjective) servers removed cause of incredible bias, instead of things like hidden bots. They just used that as an excuse for their bias.

So stop complaining for s sake, spoiled idiots. Some people like a different server than you.

I'm not complaining
if there's bots I avoid them immediately

So has Valve completely fixed the hidden bots issue? It would seem so but I don't know how to really check. I don't want to think about how many games I played with bots when I first started playing and mostly used quickplay

LotusClan isn't pay to win. I can also personally confirm they are still on quickplay. But they do mostly have bots and terrible players.

Now it's time to take idle servers down.

Some idle maps are really good for fun duels or melee only fights. These servers are great imo. Loads of fun with all talk.

I assume they assigned pings to replace the BOT on scoreboard? In any case, as long as the servers follow rules that they do not lie to master servers and to players what they have and follow the guidelines in this topic https://support.steampowered.com/kb_...2825-AFGJ-3513 - they are fine.

Then again, some of these servers that sell this "premium" which provides faster speed, more health etc if you pay up some money, are also quite questionable to be included into quickplay. Generally, if there are rapid changes like this, they should be included in server tags like "increased_speed, increased_health".

If you are unfamiliar with the idling system, people buy keys and other stuff with the metal they get from idling. Imagine 20 accounts, idling the items. averaging 9 items per week, per account = 10 refined metals. 1 key currently costs (if some idiot sells one against virtual metal), 2 ref 2 reclaimed, and they do). That's a profit right there.

Well, what he probably meant is that idling on another server is pointless. You can as well just click "create server" within the game and idle fine there on your own listen server (it works, trusts me). But Idle servers aren't falsely advertised to players, nor are quickplayers fooled into them so Valve aren't considering them to be a problem.

All this was about was cracking down on lying servers, nothing else.

That's what i meant. Idling in a external idling server is quite pointless when you can do it more effectively and less risky with a local server or even in a offline practice match.

I guess some people don't know better... Or idling urban legends.

UOTE

Today Valve took some further action against rule breaking servers.

Quote:
Last week the TF2 team banned some server groups that were in violation of the Policy of Truth.

We received numerous complaints from server operators about a handful of servers, and we investigated those reports. Any action we have taken was based upon violations that we witnessed firsthand.

Bans are applied to the group itself, not to any particular IP address range.

These bans will last 6 weeks.

Thank you,

The Team Fortress Team
Updated 1st post with same information. And no, there isn't a list of which communities were doing this.
