hi guys, whenever i try to play a game with a friend when ending the first turn we both get disconected...he told me its been going on whole day.
wondering if any of u had the same issue? :s

Yes i have the same issue with a friend of mine since today. Probably something linked with the last steam update.

Agree. Got the same problem here. Played, went for a break and updated, after that it's been impossible to play. Nothing wrong before the update.

Yeah, my friend and I couldn't get our previous game up and running so we started a fresh game... and within the first 10 turns, it started telling us that the other had disconnected.

Same problems with me and my friend, we acually didnt notice until after like 6 turns that we were playing two different games. Same issue happened a couple of times after that so we decided to stop playing.

Does anyone know a fix for this?

Another steam update was released today... anyone know if it fixed this?
I only just got the update and can't test right now, since I would require someone to play with... and time enough to play.

Nope, not fixed.

And based on this thread it seems it's only a few experiencing the problem, but the people I've spoken to all have it after the Steam update.

They broke Civ V multiplayer with the 2nd last Steam update and today's hasn't helped either. Ironically, there's no trouble if you're playing Mac vs PC! Fix this, Steam!

We are investigating a possible Steam issue that would impact games using our peer-to-peer APIs for multiplayer.

I will post an update as soon as I have more information.

I represent a multiplayer group of 700+ people. Since the may 15th update no games have been completed. Some have gone as far as 80 turns before a disconnect but once the disconnect occurs reloads will not work at all. Steam should hurry up players are looking to other servers for civ play!!

Yes please find a solution quickly, games are becoming impossible to finish.

Don't quote me but it appears an update received at 1:00 EST on may 19th has fixed the problem. Some members of our group have been testing this. A few games have been completed thus far and reloads worked fine I hope this was the solution we were looking for!!!!

Updated my steam client today. Still cannot play multiplayer games, now i've got disconnected from lobby. Still need fix.

Steam client built May 18 at 13:41:48.

Make sure you and everyone you are playing with are in the new Steam Client beta.
