Do you have any firewall or virus scanners running? make sure that your internet connection is working correctly? It looks to me like that's a perfectly good system.

You say 'after a couple minutes' but does that mean you can open the game itself and play, or just sit there at the menu? Do you get a specific error message?

Are you running any other programs in the background at the same time? Is your machine hot?

have you tried playing it with a different DX level in the launch bar?

Internet is good and stable, I was in the video setting and it crashed (did not change anything), No other programs, No error message, Machine is nice and normal temp, How do I change the DX level?

The cause for a bluescreen is most commonly drivers, sometimes a bad memory stick. If the machine is not overclocked, or overclocked correctly, there's only guessing left unless other games work fine. Usually the screen gives an error code, like BUG_USB_DRIVER, with that there would be less guesswork.

Also, pastebin.ca is a good place to link large pastes

I have something similar to this. Any time I try to run ANY of the game modes, the game crashes on me. On a possibly related note, for some reason it says my graphics card is insufficient with the game, even though it worked prior to the update.

Did you ever get it to work?
I still haven't.

If it was a processor error then something may be not powerful enough to run it on your actual CPU. have you run anything to check it for errors or updates?

Everything is up to date and I don't have anything to run to check it for errors,

And it can't be my cpu not being too powerful enough, because my laptop could run it and this computer is way better than my laptop.

Just because one machine can and another cannot doesn't mean anything. I suggest doing a search for CPU problem checkers online, though it should be powerful enough.

have you tried changing the multicore options? 8 core is ... rather a lot.

Im getting the same issues.
It worked fine before the last update.
I tried everything, i have latest motherboard bios, and no nothings overheating.
i dont get past the menus.
first it was a blue screen error,
then i deleted steam and redownloaded everything
then i was getting portal2.exe stopped responding
i think there was another small patch, now i can get into the game menus, and it crashes after about 30 seconds (no error, screen goes black, reboots, after the menu freezes for about 10 seconds)
There is no solution.
This is valves fault pure and simple, and they need to fix it.
One of their patches broke the game for alot of people.
I doubt itll ever be fixed for us.... This has happened to another game without ever having a fix ...
If it works for the majority of people, they dont care about the minority it doesnt work for. thats how it goes.
