eve is free to play lol if i put in an hour per day i can play for free within 5-6 days, given that i can sometimes play 12-18 hours per day you can see that in 1 day i can make enough in-game cash to pay for 4 months game time

also i might add that this game does not take ages to get into, iv being playing since 2008 and i recently joined the biggest allance in game which easily gets fleets of over 1000 players into battles and i had 2 and 3 week old players in my fleet flying smaller ships that are just as useful as the bigger shipp

im just over a month old and can mine 12mill isk per hour
2 hours a day mining will net me 720 mill in a month (500mill for plex)

new players wont get 500mill in the first month (very lucky if they do)
but after the first month they should have the skills to do it

sure thing im gonna mine for hours a day just to get the opportunity to mine some more.

The time you put in this game and the potential huge losses are what makes this game fun for most people, if you had nothing to lose what would be the point?

Part of the fun is looting someone after you've killed them to see what goodies they've dropped, if what they dropped is worthless like everything else in the game then the fun factor would die quickly.

Not to mention the fact that F2P would just mean people wouldn't play until they AFK'd their skills up.

I don' like the feeling that i'm working for a game. The game shouldn't be a monthly subscription to begin with. I hate that model.
Why not use a pay once and play forever? I don't have nearly enough money to play the game and pay for it every month, it's insanity!

PLEX doesn't come out of thin air, it needs some other players to purchase it then put it on market for you to buy.
so it's not F2P, those live on PLEX simply got paid by other losers......

Although i haven't played for at least a year now i have to admit that EVE is one of the few MMOs that deserves every cent you spend. The fact that you can buy gametime for ingame money makes this game unique.

I have a couple of questions before I buy;
1) Is EVE basically just a multi version of the X series? With MMO (Obviously) and longer term goals?
2) Exactly how much is a 30 day subscription normally?
3) Being an experienced player of the X series, will that prepare me in any way for EVE?
