OCCT does not show GPU temps anymore! What would you recommend in its place?
Ever since I installed Win7 in my SSD, OCCT gpu temp detection stopped working.
It's not even selectable in the options tab. No GPU temps, only FPS. It doesn't even seem to know that I have a Radeon HD 6900! Quite useless without GPU temps, so what's the possible deal here? GPU is AMD HD Radeon 6900 series. OCCT version is latest, 4.2. Even the old version, 4.0, does not display my GPU anymore. Both 4.2 and 4.0 cannot detect my GPU. UPDATE: http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/hwmonitor.html can detect my GPU model and temps. So how come OCCT can't? What similar software could I use that you fellow gamers (some of you more hardcore than I'll ever be) recommend? I mean a stress-testing & monitoring software that is as complete, easy and convenient as OCCT used to be for me. And to think OCCT took so much time installing old DirectX SDK stuff, from 2005 to 2011, I think. Last edited by Streaks: 05-24-2012 at 08:26 AM. |

HWMonitor is great.
If its just a GPU prog you want MSI Afterburner will do. |

Yes it is. 4.2 of OCCT is the latest version. Don't know why it won't show GPU temps.
4.0 used to show GPU temps for my GTX 295 and Radeon HD 6900. But ever since I installed Win7 in my SSD drive and made that my boot drive, OCCT stopped show GPU temps. Sucks! Such a good program too before all this. |

Eh, whatever man. I'm using CPUID Hardware Monitor now,so problem solved. I may just uninstall OCCT. It sucks that OCCT installed a lot of old DirectX stuff (if I remember right).
