Found server

I set up a server and now this is all it comes up with when I try to join it.
Found server
Cancel

It does absolutely nothing else until I cancel. The server still reports "waiting for clients".

I have found out that when I join I get stuck on Found server and my friend gets turned away with errors when he tries. When I hit cancel and he joins, He gets the same Found server bull while I get errors.

You might want to try joining with your local address i.e. 192.168.0.101

Well first let me refer you here for some info perhaps...

http://forums.steampowered.com/forum....php?t=1894831

Several questions need to be asked. If your trying to run server...

Are you using a Modem?
Are you using a router?
Is your friend using your proper external ip?
Are you using your internal ip if your behind a router?

Try a different server? It either means you can't connect or it has it's max players.

Verify Integrity

I had the same issue. It was solved by right clicking on terraria in your library. Checking out it's properties. Going to local files, and clicking on "Verify Integrity".

maybe version mismatch of some sort, otherwise I would have guessed firewall settings if you did everything else right.
