Cannot start quest (minor spoilers)

ok, so i just finished the quest "A KNife in the Dark" however with that quest i was forced to finish it with console commands because of a speech bug so i couldnt talk to delphine and finish the quest.

now when i go back to the Riverwood sleeping giant in, Delphine can only answer questions about "What does it mean to be dragonborn" and "what is the Thalmor" and there is no option to start the next quest "Diplomatic Immunity"
can anybody help me? i would prefer not to do this with console commands but if left with no choice i will do so.

You may have inadvertently skipped the trigger for the next quest.

You may be unable to absorb Sahloknir's soul and Delphine will get stuck saying "Gods above, look at that". To fix this on the PC, you have to progress via console to stage 150, and then through the "hidden" stages 155 and 160. This will unlock her dialogue options and enable you to finish A Blade in the Dark and unlock Diplomatic Immunity.

Have a look at this page and try the console again to ensure you have completed all the steps.
