half life (episode) 3 hint in HL1?
I don't know if this has been discovered already let me know if it has, but I have tested this about 8 times and I want to know if you guys get the same result. all you do is have an audio cd in your cd/dvd rom drive and start a new game and during the intro it should play the third track on the cd and ive tested it with 3 cd's
let me know what you come up with. |

*facepalm of epic force*
.... There's no clue there. Just that HL1 automatically loads any cd music tracks if there's one in your drive. This is probably the most interesting variation on the "omg why is Half Life playing (FILL IN THE BLANK ROCK SONG) instead of the normal soundtrack!?!oneone!!!fordfocus!?" |

Because track 3, whatever that is, is the track played during the intro.
The game can't tell the difference between CDs: it plays the track number for Half-Life and assumes the disc is right. |

I remember thinking I had been hacked the first time I played a Steam game and had forgotten to remove and left my Tombraider 1 Disc in the drive. I kept hearing the ambient sounds from TR1 and couldn't figure out why. I freaked.

You're all noobs. Everyone knows that it's Pong that really started giving away hints for HL3. Haven't you noticed that there are 2 paddles and 1 ball? 2+1=3. 3 as in HL3. it came out on 11/29/72 or 29/11/72. 11+29=40. 72-40 is 32. 32 is refering to the year 2032. Pong is also black and white like in Gman's realm, representing that a giant war (represented by the never-ending war that is Pong) will occur in his realm. Therefore, HL3 will come out in 2032 and take place in Gman's realm.
