Steam seems corrupted on my computer.
I start to run Steam from shutting the application down last night and I get one of those usual pop-ups to let me know that the client is updating. It proceeds to update, but then I get an error saying "ERROR: Error reading data segment file." I looked for a solution online and found out that I could fix the problem by deleting clientregistry.blob and then running Steam again. This did not fix my problem and I ended up with the same error.
When I try to uninstall Steam, it tells me that I do not have enough disk space to do that, and I clearly have a whole lot of space on my hard drive left. Also, when I just try to install a clean copy of Steam, I get a different error during the installation process. I've been using Steam on my computer for years, so what happened? Usually this is when an av software is locking a file so Steam cannot write to it and it thinks there is no disk space. Also some backup software can do this. Basically any program thy might lock a file
