Le Grondbort Scoot

My personal idea for the Grondbort scout set.

The Mule Molestor 600
Level XX Energy Flechhet Gun

-20% bullets per shot
+20% damage per bullet

Close range shots disable enemy buildings for four seconds.

Does not use ammunition

-33% Ammo per clip

-90% damage done to buildings

The Kickback 30-30
Level XX Holdout Pistol.

Knockbacks shooter and target

Krits if hits an enemy's back

Perfect Accuracy

-85% ammunition loaded

Four-Second Reload

-50% Damage

As much as I detest Engineers, this would be incredibly stupid.

Pistol has too many downsides to be useful. What is that, two bullets per clip? Sure it's great if you're really, really far behind someone, but there's no room for error, it's not oneshotting, long-ranged Scout is a bad concept, and how often do you get in those situations anyway?

It's more a holdout shot on a fleeing enemy, not sniping from behind. Also for mobility in the air.

What would you suggest for the Scattergun?

I guess it's useful for the mobility, then.

I actually have absolutely no idea. What I really don't want is a spammable projectile weapon that is more effective at mid than the Scattergun, because that goes against everything the Scout is about. But it's a laser weapon, so, blegh.

It needs to shoot laser hitscans. I don't care if it fits with the other weapons. I just can't think of a gimmick that would make it interesting.

My idea

The Mule Molestor 6000

Projectile cannot be reflected

Fires 2 deer slug like projectiles (in a tight cone)

Does not require ammunition

Projectiles pierce through enemies

Projectiles lose half their damage after each penetration (40 -> 20 -> 10 -> 5 capped at 5)

-50% damage to buildings

Projectiles disappear in middle range

No Critical Hits

Damage and function times
Damage
Maximum ramp-up 125% 50
Base damage 100% Players: 40
Buildings: 20
Maximum fall-off 75% 30
Point blank 60-100
Medium range N/A
Long range N/A
Critical hit 240
Mini-crit 108-135
Function times I have no idea for the reload times, let Valve decide that
Attack interval 1.2 s

Ammo loaded: 6
Ammo carried: Unlimited
Reload type: Single

----

I wanted a cqc weapon with little projectiles and the ability to pierce. To counter piercing, I made it ineffective for longer ranges. It is weaker than the scattergun in terms of damage, but this can't get 9 damage meatshots. It would also punish enemies sticking close to each other. (if the piecing projectile is bugged then fix that/lower the damage of this/remove it's piercing ability.

It does more damage than a scatter on a critical hit, but in other situations, the scattergun does more (due to its rampup). I thought of making it do something on hit, but I couldn't really think of anything that would fit so I just put nothing.

If you notice the firing interval is longer than the scatter. This was so they would time their shots (because you know how big projectiles are, and sometimes easier to hit with than hitscan).

My 2 cents.

He didn't. It's an official name given by Weta Workshop.

Also, Grodbort weapons are stupid, and if any of these become another Pomson then I'll murder someone.

I would prefer the Primary being more like a short ranged blast of pure plasma, similar range of the airblast, and has the same AoE, with only 1 shot per clip, but a fairly fast "reload" deals fairly high damage and disables primary weapon for 2 seconds, also unrevs heavies. Heavy needs a counter. This does it well. With the whole, penetrates enemies, no reflect, and no ammo, all unstated. Mule Mauler would probably be a more E-Rated name.

For the Secondary, we could have a Pistol-Like Right Bison, 12 shots, clip-reload-followed-by-switch/lever, and fires fast little laser projectiles with 50% of the Bison's Damage, deal 50% more damage to buildings, and possibly delay cloak/uber, not reduce the ammo/charge, but delay the use of these abilities. Effectively shuts down DR spy feigns, normal cloaking, and ubercharges, only for about 1 second, and it doesn't stack.

I wouldn't mind a zapper-style melee either, something like a futuristic cattle prod, possibly with a small knockback/up on hit.

Ugh. I don't think that there is any way to create a balanced weapon with laser projectiles on a Scout. Even laser hitscan....that would be very unoptimized.

I'm sorry, but this is worse than the Winger. Halved damage, an extremely long reload (more than three times the length of the Pistol's!), and a 2-shot clip for 33 damage in the back and knockback?
