My Reasons to not get it

1) The installer is buggy. It installed the .net framework..then forced a restart. Ok, it happens. It should be done..it REINSTALLS THE NET FRAMEWORK AND FORCES ANOTHER RESTART. Try #3, I have a program open that never allows a forced restart, so I can cancel it. Now it runs after cancelling the restart

2) The gameplay is repetitive and dull. The heroes walk to the first treasure they see, then try to walk out. The dungeon lord has to fight them, as they thrash any monsters, so stay near that ONE treasure chest!

3) The difficulty can ramp up unfairly, due to simple bad luck. What? You have 2 entrances? Be prepared to lose lots of gold, as you cannot close a hero entrance once opened!
And now skeletons are coming from the stairway to the 'boss' and attacking your Dungeon Heart! Watch the Heroes leave with your gold while you defend your Heart!

4) I am the bloody Overlord here! Why must /I/ kill the heroes? Why can't I tell my minions to hide, wait until the Heroes are happy, THEN attack? Hell, how come my minions die when I ramp their levels higher than the heroes?

All in all, the demo told me all I need to know, and I am saying 'Pass'.

I am still downloading the demo, but did you do the tutorial or you just start the game hopping to learn everything by magic?

No, this game REALLY does suck. I know, I bought and played it. (Sadly in that order)

+REP for the OP.

While I'll still try it and might by it, I wish to say that this is finally something that WORTH reading as the OP explain what is wrong about the game. (Now, if the demo is as bad as described, I need to check if the demo is actually the same as the game. I have seen lots of demo which were earlier version of the game and never got updated while the actual game had many changes and corrections.)

I did the tutorial. I got to stage 2, sighed in bordom and frustration, and turned it off.

Granted, I was already going in to it with a bit of a grump due to the installation problems I mentioned.

I agree with Akisohida, I tried the demo, it's pretty lame that you seem to have to do all the work, unless it unlocks later that you can order around the minions.

I like how my demo install just gets stuck on 'netsh' and doesn't do anything. I'm glad I visited the forums before I went and got it to see if the full version worked... my god.

I think the key is the "and dull" part. Repetitive is fine, but if you are bored with it, what's the point?

Not so, those games have a wide variety of actions you can do in different situations. It is implied by op that monsters are underpowered in the game, thus limiting the scope of effective actions you can take.

It also runs like a bag of e. Just bought this turd and wish I hadn't, I can play Crysis 2 BF3 etc etc at full detail with all settings on max, and this runs like a 1 legged dog through a field of treacle. Fired off a support ticket for my money back.
