Manual and version

I bought this game today but cant find the manual. And I have started the game 2 times both times it anounce todays patch and asking me to login. I done it both times but I cant see if patch is attached or what version I got now?

Please advice

check my newbys guide to pp2012, it will help you get started.

you'll know if you have the new version, when your in an active game you will see a scrolling news ticker bottom of screen, and in a race you can see why a driver dropped out (previously it just said "dropped out")
it doesnt update the vers. # unfortunately.
