A question about Windows upgrade

If I were to buy a PC that was infested with bloatware, would it be removed by installing the Windows 8 upgrade?

No, bloatware is transferred if you do an upgrade.

Depends what you mean by windows 8 upgrade. If you mean buying the windows 8 upgrade install then rotNdude is correct. But if you "upgrade" to windows 8 and do a fresh install, or if you install Windows 8 Release Preview then all the bloatware will be gone.

I was talking about the upgrade that you can buy for $15 if you buy a Windows PC now. It's a shame that the bloatware will still be there afterwards.

Upgrade No, Full Format/OS Install yes.

Could just buy a copy of Win7 HP 64bit if you choose to.

Thats why i dont buy brand PCs like HP/Dell. always load their comps with crap that will just get uninstalled anyway.
