Guppys Hairball; A new kind of annoyance!

I was just wondering if anyone else had ran into this problem;
I got 9 lives, Guppy's Head and Guppy's tail and nothing popped, but I still turned into a cat. After dying at cathedral in said run, I checked my unlocked secrets and it wasn't there. As I rebooted the game, the steam achievement popped but technically the game hasn't unlocked the hairball, even though the prerequisites were met.

Sad stuff.

It's anything but new, there are countless topics about this. In-game unlock screens are bugged, the items unlock as they should though.

Actually. The Hairball is unlocked.

The game is bugged currently, Secret Unlock Messages wont show up or add to the counter, but the items themselves DO unlock iside the game.

For me they do add to the counter though, just no picture after the samson one.
