what part of the sticky are you NOT understanding? It's basically 'open the zip file to identify the contents' and 'insert them in the appropriate folder' due to their needs?
If you're more specific, I can help you. |

Yes, most likely.
Could you please link me to the addon/zip file that you downloaded online? That way I can open it up myself and see what the deal is with it. Sometimes it's not as easy as pie. One thing, are you POSITIVE that you're in the SECOND garrysmod folder? Not the primary one, there's a second one WITHIN the first. I know I lost a bunch of things to the void when I tried putting things within that first folder's materials and models sections. They don't go there. Also if it's an addon proper, you do NOT break up the folders within, it goes directly into Addons. So please link me, it might just be one of those wonky things that the maker of it didn't include the right file or made it difficult because "everyone knows how to do this". We don't. I had to be online in steam chat with a friend who took me through the process to even START to understand what I was doing, when I was new at it. |

In the description it says "it appears this is not an addon" so place that folder (the second gibmod, within the one with the read me and picture) directly into garrysmod/garrysmod. So that will ADD that folder to that directory. So rather than addons, it is its own folder.
Also note that people are commenting that it crashes a LOT. |
