Gothic 2 Gold saves folder

Where the save files are stored on local drive?In steam directory or in My Documents? I just reinstalled windows but didn't backup the save files.And for some reason Gothic 2 doesn't use Cloud for storing files (mb I had to turn it on in game settings). Now I want try to use Recuva to restore the files.

Well,I found the actual saves folder but there's another problem...when I place old save files in the gothic ii\saves\savegame1 nothing appears in the load menu. Here's the list of files I place in savegame1:
ADDONWORLD_1.SAV
NEWWORLD_1.SAV
SAVEDAT_1.SAV
SAVEHDR_1.SAV
SAVEINFO_1.SAV
THUMB_1.SAV
Is that right?
