Hey guys,
I could really use some help here. Back in the old TWs, when you select your units, and order them to move, they move in the formation they were placed in. So, if I had 3 rows of Hastati in one column, and moved them to a new position, they would end up in 3 rows in 1 column. Apparently it's not the case for Shogun. Whenever I move my troops, they scatter to bum♥♥♥♥ no where, a mega-line of troops spanning the entire map, and I get annihilated trying to put my guys back together. I've tried control groups, and this works to some degree, but mostly it'll kick units out of the control group/not work at all. TL:dr, If somebody can tell me how to get my guys to move from point A to point B in the same formation I placed them, that'd by great. Cheers! P.S, Were's Rome 2 Total War Creative?!?! |

I use grouped formations all the time and the only thing that changes that is terrain features or if they come under attack etc, with some units being in skirmish mode.

2. group them together 3. move them This way they will retain the relative positions they had when they were grouped. Don't select any units in addition to the ones in that group (or remove any from the selection), or the result will be pretty messy. |
