There's one thing I always like to point out when people say 'Portal 2 is too humoristic'. Just pay close attention to the humour you're hearing:
  • 'Mantis Men' - Human beings horribly mutated.
  • 'When life gives you lemons, don't make lemonade!' rant - A dying man, in his desperate attempt to avoid the inevitable.
  • 'Don't worry, we'll get your skin back to you' - Oh, that makes me feel better.
  • 'Your blood might have been replaced with gasoline' - Interesting, I don't think anybody can survive with blood as gasoline.

It's dark humour. Not just simple jokes. Sure, it's presented in a comedic way, but when you actually think about it, you realize how terrible Old Aperture was.

As for the first Portal, it also had its own humour.

Now, on topic:

Well, the new voice lines sound interesting. I don't like the long ones that much, but I wouldn't have a problem hearing them once in a while.

They're recording voice lines for throwing specific grenades.

I think the third one is most likely "The bomb has been defused."

What about 'Bomb has been planted'? You can't say that's not a classic CS sound, can you?

It is, but it would be weird to hear that in the middle of a round instead of the end of it, especially in the middle of a unique set of faction voice lines.

Well, I guess that makes sense.

Oh, if it is about voice commands only so they are:

- "Go! Go! Go!"
- "Fire in the hole!"
- "Enemy spotted!"

Seriously? That would be cool. But "Fire in the hole" should stay for the HE grenade.

All of those voice commands are classic. New ones will most likely be something like COD.

No feeling at all.

One of the worst posts I think I have ever seen. How would they make radio commands more like COD?? Does COD even have radio commands?

Nothing wrong with adding a few new lines that'll rarely be heard (as xk319 said).

Compare COD's "flash out" to counter strike's "Fire in the hole"

I don't think they say flash out in CoD.

I just googled for "COD Radio Commands", "COD MW2 Radio Sounds", "COD Modern Warfare Radio Chatter Multiplayer".

None of those turned up ANY real results, only slight references to a Wiki that talks about removed game modes.

I'm very happy to be proven wrong, I just don't see your argument as valid at all .EDI, sorry mate.

They actually only say that kinda things in singleplayer of the cod 4(not sure about the others).
And thats where i was referring to.

The point was lack of feeling in cod voices, which cs voice's has and if they replace them, they will most likely lost that feeling.
