Concerning adjustments made to Post-Processing
I'm going to put my neck out by saying this but removing the post-processing effects (dust, smoke etc.) detracts from the experience, honestly. The whole argument involving "players are too difficult to see" is flawed. I'm sorry, but modern gaming has evolved, and so have players. I had no problem spotting enemy combatants before and find the adjustments made to the post-processing effects to be rather drab. The entire point of creating CS:GO wasn't to simply unify two communities, (that's near impossible at this point) but to bring new consumers to the Counter-Strike brand. Removing the post-processing and "dumbing down" over-all visual fidelity wont make the game significantly more acceptable to competitive players and will in all actuality impact impressions on new entrants. Just my thoughts.

You just have to get used to it. There is only how much Valve can alter the game.

You have a point. I don't agree, CS is about muscle memory and strategy, ANY time map effects contribute in any way to a players ability to live or die there is a problem. The solution is a toggle option that you can use at your own discretion, if there isn't already.

i agree that PP doesnt annoy me. but fog is an actual problem.
but anyway. since PP interferes so little with the gameplay, CSGO should do what literally every other PC game does - give you an option to disable it. EVERYONE WOULD BE HAPPY. all they have to do is remove the cheat protection for disabling PP. holla... 1 minute work. |
