And my first attempt at making my own scenario ended in...

Unlocked the route started a new scenario and found the first icon too fiddly to place. 5 Attempts at placing the timetable at Newcastle and I have no idea what I am doing wrong it freezes or disappears.
A platform or siding selector would be nice.

From the TS2012 launcher go to 'tools and docs'. Click on 'Open Folder' this will show you all the available PDF manuals etc. Find the one titled 'RW Timetable View Manual_Web'. This is a really good document to read to get you started particularly section 6 SCENARIO CREATION WALKTHROUGH.

Hope this helps

I give the same advice to you that I give to anyone thinking of scenario creation. Read through, and follow Marleyman's Scenario Tutorials - starting at Part One: -

All my manuals have pages missing. I get a blank page with couldn't render the page at the bottom.
The Creator Manual is missing pages 7-9-10-11.
The Driver Manual is missing pages 3-8-9-10-11-15-16-17
The Signal Manual is missing pages 1-2-4-.
The Quickstart Manual is missing pages 5-6.
The Timetable View Manual is missing pages 8-13-15-19--21.
Any help would be thankfully welcomed.

I agree with Wotawally. If you follow Marleyman's tutorials you will get a pretty good feel for the RW3 editor.

The best improvement to Railworks would be a new user friendly editor.
This more than any DLC would really excite the enthusiasts and lead to an explosion of new content.

@dingdynasty: you can download the manuals from RSC's homepage here: http://railsimulator.com/support.php - though unfortunately the ones for the editors seem to be missing there and it still says RW2 manuals, but I don't think that much has changed in them last autumn in the RW3 update.

What software are you using to read the manuals? I'm using Adobe Reader X version 10.1.3, and all the pages are visible.

I'm using the same software. These are the only documents I've had trouble with.

Thanks Toldrabald but as you said there's nothing for editing.

Can someone post the following pages from their manuals? I've tried about everything I know how to do and I can't find them anywhere.I have no idea why these pages are blank when I open the folder.

The Creator Manual is missing pages 7-9-10-11.

The Timetable View Manual is missing pages 8-13-15-19--21.
