How do i play portal maps in gmod 9?

Like the title says how do i play with portal maps in gmod 9?

Also Gmod takes a long time loading some maps in the list and sometimes crashes, is this normal for gmod 9?

You can't. Gmod 9 is so old that it's amazing anyone uses it any longer. It's completely unsupported and will never be supported by anyone because there are newer versions available that work far, far better.

Buy Gmod 10-12 from Steam. That way, at least the maps will load, if you own Portal on that account. Gmod 13 is in beta and will ship to people who own the current paid version.
