You can stun skrakes with it, that alone makes it awesome.

husks fireball launcher completely different then the flamethrower and for that reason you have to change your tactics..

normally with the flamethrowers its call CQC unleashing streams of hell to control crowds.

with the fireball launcher you need to get your balance..
use small charges to ignite groups of weak enemy's and the after-burn will take care of them...you can get head shots but i just aim around them to ignite them rather then a single head shot..

since its basically the long range firebug use it!
shot a siren with a single tap and she'll burn to death.
use it like the mac-10 at long range... semi-auto ignite single enemy and let them burn since the mac-10 (in my view) has the longest after burn time. fireball launcher also has the ability to do splash fire ignite more enemy's.

and for tougher guys charge it up a bit more...
full charged will stun scrake...

Don't Even think about using it against..fp firebug just isn't powerful enough for it! Everything below firebug he can handle..

Also one tip i like to toss around...

Toss a grenade and flame it with the flamethrower and you can explode it instantly useful for Large crowds and when you need a little boom with the flames. it also works with the husks fireball launcher just aim close enough to it!

Again.... the reason you might hate the fireball launcher is because your using the wrong tactic.... it does exploding damage/splash damage and after-burn... after-burn is Brilliant for firebug.. you ignite and enemy's and run off and he is left 2 crisp! -_-

Then again.... Don't as firebug attack a fp head on! you just don't have the firepower to take one on!
the best you can do is ignite him so team mates can spot him easier.

or if your doing solo or alone..
see him on fire..run brake his line of sight so he doesn't rage because your running...
when he stops burning set him on fire again....

It will take a long time... since i think he takes 50% fire resistance.. but as long as you don't do the 360 damage in a few seconds you should be fine!

As for the Patriarch you can set him on fire to help teammates better spot him when he is invisible.

Many times I've set him on fire and he ran to heal and died due to after-burn. .

Few other things i noted is..

when the enemy takes enough fire damage he will burn of become 'Crispy' it effects the scrake.. so if he is running at you and he gets Crispy he might stop runnning and wander around waving he hands and running around Very fast..

It was already raised from the dead, so hell, I might as well.

Yeah, thanks, we know that the firebug sets things on fire. The issue is that the husk cannon is terrible both for doing direct damage and setting things on fire.

You do realize that you won't always be playing with a team that runs away the moment you set something on fire, right? Because you'd be an extremely bad teammate if you ran away from a camping team.

The very last thing you should do to a fleshpound is set it on fire. Your team isn't going to be grateful when the sharpshooter's bolt goes right though his head but counts as a body shot because your fire made the fleshpound's hitbox go haywire. Or when the flespound starts dancing because of your fire, preventing anyone from aiming at him. If your team somehow managed to miss that there's a fleshpound coming by the time you managed to set it on fire, you should alert them though voice or text chat. Not set it on fire.

Or you could do the smart thing, which is to not mess with the scrake and let your sharpshooter handle it, like he's supposed to. Your fire isn't going to help him kill it. If you change anything at all, it will be that you manage to mess its hitbox up so that a perfectly aimed headshot doesn't register as one, meaning its stun breaks and it starts attacking people.

I suspect most of us had figured that already.

As I'm sure the millions of people suffering from Dyslexia who struggle to communicate coherently appreciate your flippant attitude.

Your post reads more like English as second language than Dyslexia. You want to throw a "YOLO" on there just to cover all your bases?

Ugh... Did you really read my thread?

Then again, since that day when I post it, I love this gun a lot. So do I now, but I realize that this weapon is just terrible at most point of views, it would be good and useful weapon if I would wear it along with Flamethrower.

the one thing i dont like about the husk fireball launcher, as stated many times it sounds like a husk is standing right behind you. to me thats like the first indication, of a code brown when you think the waves over and you hear that sound. i can not tell you how many times i would have freaked.
