Crash Bug: Spellforce 2 Faith of Destiny, Early Crash

The game constantly crashes early on, when first leaving the castle and he speeds walk through the dangerous forest. After that cut scene, it crashes every time and is pretty much a game ending bug. You get the Access Violation pop up each time.

Can you please post a dxdiag as well as a compressed version of your My Docs\SpellForce2 folder?

You are aware that if Spellforce 2 Gold is installed and if the Spellforce 2 folder in "My Documents" has not been re-named or deleted that Destiny will crash?

The 2 games share the same folder in My documents. Which is all and well but the 2 games do not get along. Whichever one ran last the other will crash, until the previous game saves are removed.

The 2 games cannot be played concurrently.

i can confirm on that with first hand exp see the other post config.xml is the same for both

I take it it's because Spellforce 2 Gold won't allow that abomination of an addon to share the same folder, and honestly, I'm not surprised.

so if i delete my old saved games i can play the new one but if i dont i cant that seems to be a little bit of a downer considering i am almost half way done with the first and i wanted to try the secound game out is there another way to fix the problem with out deleting my saved game

you dont need to delete your saves, just rename the parent spellforce folder before running faith in destiny, and rename it back when you want to play the older games
