Meet the Pyro reaches expectation ?

The Pyro has been called a "he" long before Meet the Pyro. If you don't believe me, please refer to just about any sound files where a team member refers to the Pyro.

The writers may have created the Pyro with the idea of a male character, but the ambiguity of this gives the writers a lot of room to shape their universe as they please. For example, they could place solid evidence in the TF2 universe "proving" the Pyro to be either male or female, encouraging activity in the TF2 community with endless no-right-answer topics.

And plus, the canon of Team Fortress is rapidly evolving. I doubt any of the ♥♥♥♥ they've come up with in the comics and easter eggs was in the pitch bible. Many changes have been made to the TF2 story thanks to a complete lack of story in the first place.

Anything we don't know in TF2 is very much subject to change.

Why the ♥♥♥♥ did I just write all of that? I don't think I went anywhere with that logic.

Exactly. They're trolling. If you look close there is even a cloud in the shape of the symbol for female. They want to "fuel the fire" (excuse the pun).

Personally, I still say he's a man. I don't think the feminine world joke would be funny if he was a girl. He probably has gender identity issues, but I just look at that body and see a male.

I find it funny that people actually expected to see the Pyro's face/know the Pyro's gender, when Valve announced long ago that it wouldn't happen.

As for the video itself, I love it. Ties in with Meet the Spy as best Meet the video

Of course,i wouldn't want to see the ugly face behind that beautiful mask. Although I'm fine with Pyro being a male instead of female.
