Replacing a player model with another model (Help D:)
I'm pretty much a total noob when it comes to SFM.
I want to replace Heavy's models and animations with someone else, as seen in http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dII9e...feature=relmfu Can someone help? |

You would have to find the relative directory of the model in the GCFs (likely something like models/player/hwm/heavy.mdl and heavy_animations.mdl)
I would check for you to be certain, but I lack Source Filmmaker. |

I don't want to replace the model itself in the files, I just want to edit Meet the Heavy with another TF2 model.

That's probably because if you're modifying meet the heavy, there are special sequences that were set on the HEAVY's models. The bones on the other class (and what vertices they affect_ will differ. Therefore, that is probably going to happen regardless.

It because it uses the heavy bone structure. Switching them with your favorable character might do it.
