No video works in full screen in the STEAM user interface

Whoah, you're right about that! If I have the Steam in small mode and fullscreen a video, then Alt Tab out, it plays smoothly as my desktop background. Super strange; I tried updated Flash For Other Browsers but that didn't help.

well i am having the same problem where you go full screen the video becomes choppy and jumps. i figured out if you right click it plays smoothly but you have to deal with the menu box.

Confirmed: The latest beta version of steam does fix the choppy video problem. Steam menu - Settings - Account Tab - Beta Participation Area - Change button - Select steam beta from the dropdown box. For anybody who needs instructions on how to participate in the beta version.
