Full screen not really full screen?

I frequently click in the top left corner where my cursor turns into a mouse cursor, and the game gets minimized. Can this be fixed?

Also, why does it lose my progress if I quit in the middle of a campaign?

Other than that it's a fun game

What OS are you running?

I have the same effect under Vista, but it only happens with the upper left pixel - other areas of the screen are not affected.

The game saves your progress after unlocking a new sector (so there are 4 savepoints: Echelon, Spacedump, Nebula, Tau Ceti).

Same problem in Win7 x64.

Also, it's not unlocking my progress here. I played a game up somewhere into Tau Ceti yesterday and died and quit. I can only start the campaign from the first area, all the others are showing up as locked.

Have you disabled the Steam Cloud Support for the game?

The desktop reduce bug has been fixed with the next update.

You have to enable the Cloud Support for this game to allow the game to save your current campaign state.

Cloud support is on and it synchronizes after playing (says it's using 104 bytes on the cloud save). I've only played while connected online, but it's never unlocked zones for me in all the (3? 4?) sessions I've played.

Please delete your local content for 'Ion Assault':

a) LIBRARY -> Right Click on 'Ion Assault' in the List -> Delete Local Game Content

b) Restart Steam

c) LIBRARY -> Ion Assault -> INSTALL

We had the same problem here, but after deleting the local content and restarting Steam the correct campaign state returned (Steam caches your Cloud data locally which could be out-of-date).

Didn't work. :\

Got to some crazy level in Tau Ceti where there were lots of rotating things that fired lasers and missiles, but when I died and quit (and topped my high score), it still has all areas locked except for the first.

I have the same saving problem, but im pretty sure I've figured out how it saves the next sectors though.

For the next sector to be saved once you get to it you must complete the previous sector without getting game over (by losing all your lives) AND you must quit to the main menu (in the new sector) before you get game over.

Its stange the way it works, I hope this can be fixed so that it saves the next sector when you get to it, no matter the circumstances. Otherwise this is sort of annoying.

We fixed an issue with the save games with the coming patch. We now force to save the stats immediately after unlocking a new sector.

This would make sense for what was happening to me, since I would only quit upon getting a game over.

Why can't you save your progress locally?
