Random Slow Down, Slow Motion Bug

I experience a random slow down, slow motion bug when I play SP. Anyone else, and if so anyone found a cause and or solution? The game slows down, then speeds back up to normal...then randomly seems to drop down again. Frustrating.

My system is as follows:

Alienware Area-51 ALX
i7 Extreme
12GB Ram
Nvidia GTX OC295 SLI
Win 7 64
All latest WHQL drivers
DX 10, 11

I have fiber directly to the home and download speeds of 47MB/Sec and 4.7MB/Sec upload.

Not bragging, but it is a wicked fast system so I'm gonna go out on a limb and say its a game issue not one caused by me. Oh and I run Alienware fusion and the core temps in the PC are 29C for the processor and 30C for the GPUs...again supporting the idea there is an issue with the game somehow - maybe its a setting but Im so far not able to remedy.

Any ideas are appreciated.

i think its sort of like bullet time. does it happen when youre chopping people into bits with melee attacks? if so thats supposed to happen. its dramatic effect.

I've noticed a marginal slowdown that appears to be random. For example, I'll be sprinting along a corridor and Titus will just slow down for no apparent reason. It usually only lasts a split second, but it is rather jarring.

The problem is sli mode, I have a sli system, 580 sli and I was having the same issue as you, I than disabled my sli than used just one gpu and behold it was smooth as butter now. Seems to me Devs did not fully test this game with certain sli configurations the other sad story is this is a AMD supported game and people with crossfire system are having slow down issues with crossfire but as soon as they disable one gpu it runs great. Devs need to release patch to fix the sli and crossfire problem.

Confirmed, this fixed the problem for me as well.

I'm having a similar problem but I just have a 460, no SLI. I do have a 250 in the computer but that is just my old card that I use for games like Arkham and I don't think it would effect this game. Its really the only annoying thing about the game, otherwise its been running smoother than almost all other games I've been playing lately. I don't think its lag cause everything else seems to be going in real time. It just seems random

Same here, in SP and MP. No SLI, i5 3570k and GTX670. I'm getting random slow downs, but only on some maps as it seems. Usually in the first arena Exterminaturs Chaos DLC.

Agreed. SLI is not the actual issue as I'm experiencing it and I have a single MSI GTX 580 Lightning running the 301.42 driver. Does this whether I've got the GPU OC'd or not.

i5 2500k OC'd to 4GHz
8 MB G.Skill Ripjaw 1600 RAM
EVGA Z68 SLi mobo

At first I thought it was supposed to do it but the more I play the more random I notice that it is and the more annoying that it becomes. Running at 1920 X 1080 with everything maxed. I haven't checked the framerate but I suspect that it's just fine. Will check now.

I disabled mouse smoothing and Vsync, the slowdowns are less frequent, and less pronounced.
Its something to try at least.

I had the same problem. The slow-down is distinctly different from bullet time, and feels more as if you're walking/running sluggish. This problem was immediately fixed for me when I disabled V-sync, however.

Same problem here, the random slowing down usually happens when I'm just running from one place to the next, not in the battles where it would likely be occurring if it was a hardware problem. Problem occurs less frequently for me with all settings turned to minimum, IMO it still looks great.
