Leaver Problem Fixed: Join in Progress

You asked for it and you've got it. There is no longer a penalty for leaving and you can join a game in progress. The only catch is that it has to be a TurboCross game (they're probably just testing the waters). TurboCross is now extremely similar to the Original MNC.

From the Patch notes:
Quote:
Major Turbocross updates this week. All Turbocross matches will be join-in-progress. If there is no match available you will start a new one. Turbocross matches now roll over. When a match ends you will have 45 seconds to chat with the other players before a new random map is selected and a new match automatically starts. You can leave at any time and join another game.

Turbocross matches now rollover to another match after one ends.
Using "Pick Up Team" to get into a Turbocross match will now immediately put you in a match or start a new one.
Joining a Turbocross match in progress now grants you the money of the lowest earner in the game.

This sounds great. Is anything in the works to address everyone's complaints about matchmaking? I don't play and but am interested in starting.

so we can now join a lost battle. yay big improvement.

also some leaver are not levers by choice and are in limbo trying to connect. a new player may not be able to join if ai thinks there is someone in that slot

the pool of players is to small to make proper matches no matter how good a system they have. they need to work on character balance, and pub stoppers 1st. then maybe we can keep new players.

Wow!
Now let's just hope they carry this system over to Super Crossfire.

But still, announcing something like that in the past, communicating with their playerbase etc. They could have saved themselfes from a lot of damage to their reputation if they would have done that (common sense.. most other game devs do). Even you will have to agree AraxisHT.

I am glad to hear they are at least trying. i was about to uninstall; however, now i will wait and give them a chance to try it and tinker with it.

I will even jump in and play a game or two today. Despite all the glorious new games i got a discount.

This system won't work for Supercrossfire. Joining a game would be fine, but freedom to leave would still cause problems.

They said they were working to dove the problems that this solved, what more do you want? You know what would have "saved" their reputation? If people had listened to them (and me) and tried to be understanding instead of spouting lies and accusations of not caring. You know what's funny about problem solving? You don't know exactly what the solution is till you've found it. This isn't the first system they put through internal testing. What if they had promised a specific redesign and it didn't work like they thought and promised it would? Then they wouldn't be able to provide it and that would be a legitimate blow against their reputation. They said they would find a solution and they did.

Rage quitting increased by 100%
Games start 3v3 but it mostly ends up being or 3v4
I uninstalled this game because I've had a leaver in 90% of the matches I've played, it is that bad.

Why the people leave in this game?! Make up your freaking minds. You either gonna play or not. Why leaving in the middle of the ing match? Stupid impatient morons...

They should have just kept the word beta on the game... just because steam released it to the masses early didn't mean the game was finished. Thats what would have saved their reputation call it an open beta.

I agree on that. I think Ibsen regrets not doing that.
