the thing is, I have no idea why I DIDN'T get the badge. I voted every single day including first and last, I actually got the "20 votes" on 8th day, yet I still don't get the last bit. Some strange behavior there.

Yeah, part of the steam community scares me a lot about this sort of stuff, like we've seen people yell at valve because of the ARMA 2 sale price which isn't really valves fault at all.

People just really need to stop taking this crap seriously and relax and enjoy it like most of us did this sale.

nah i think the issue here is, there were people dedicated onto completing that "achievement" thingy, just for fun, by comming back to steam multiple times to keep on voting. and then it turns out the final vote was to be cast "exactly" synchronised with the night time before a monday morning...

So people who had to go to bed "early" for work/school next day went to bed before 11PM and did not get behind a pc before 7:30PM, you know, breakfast, getting ready, stuff like that.

And i can imagine that would get people mad.
Its not about the whole casting the vote stuff but trying to complete a challenge set by valve.

they could have solved this by just having 2 4hr votes during the final 8 hours

My friend didn't have to wake up early so he was up all night instead and got it. We're both big achievement hunters, so he's going to bug me about it forever. :u
