Game Only Launched Once

Hi all,

The game launched once for me, and I got to the point right before I choose where to live and make sims. I changed the graphics options and resolution, and it told me I should restart the game so I did. Now, it won't launch, not even the store/launcher will consistently come up (it came up once in like 10 attempts, even when I got there, once I launched the game from there, the window would disappear and nothing would happen).

In my process list I can see the game, and it says I'm currently playing it on Steam. However, it's not using any of the processor percentage and the amount of memory its using is not fluctuating at all.

Computer Specs:

Radeon 7970
i5 2500k
16GB RAM
Gigabyte z77-ud5hx motherboard

Edit: Direct launching it from game/bin doesn't work either.

Hmm, strange. Did you change it to a resolution that your card/monitor can support? Also have you tried verifying the integrity just to be safe? Right-click Sims 3 in your games list, go to properties, local files, and press 'verify integrity of game cache'.
