I got marked as a cheater with descend command (couldn't progress)

have you tried flicking that leveler? there may be more than one around the level to make the bridge appear you should not have any problems being marked as a cheater idk except for certain achievements maybe

There was a lever on the opposite side of the one in the screenshot but I needed to pull the blocked one too.

Edit: I've already used a console command to go to the next level and now my character is marked as a cheater.

Thats why, i used once the console to Reset Skills points and CHEATER comes up. (i deleted that character, lucky was lvl 12)
Just play the game as it is, dont use the console, or any other weird thing.

I was trying to play the game but I was stuck in the main dungeon because the damn NPC was blocking the critical path. There has to be some way to remove the cheater flag, it's not like this is a multiplayer game!

Edit: I fixed it! I used CheatWipe.jar from the download on this page: http://code.google.com/p/torchtools/...7.zip&can=2&q=

If you're missing your shared stash from being marked a cheater, go to Torchlight (the town), open the console and type "shared stash". This will mark you as a cheater again but exit the game and remove the cheater flag with CheatWipe.jar again.

Wow thank you so much for the cheat wipe! I think I will have to use the descend to get past a glitch and I was so afraid of losing my stash or being marked a "cheat". I'll see if it works out normally, but if it doesn't, this is my backup plan!

you guys are silly. If you have glitches like that just go into a single player LAN game and reroll the world.

It will take care of all that glitch stuff without flagging you as a cheater. Also there are a couple character editors floating around out there that will allow you to remove that cheater flag and/or edit a bunch of other stuff.

THIS. In TL1, you didn't have the luxury of starting an online game and re-rolling the world. Got stuck somewhere? Game Over or character flag.

There's also a TL1 editor that allows you to remove the flag. that said you wouldn't have been flaged for using the ascend/descend command. Runic removed that flag ages ago due to issues with the layouts, you could get stuck in certain places, so they removed the flag so you could use the ascend/descend without worries. any other use does get you flagged, however the only thing it does is remove the shared stash
