Is there a way to check for server-side mods?

So, there's a server that i have to frequent because i can get less than 100 ping only there.

I believe this server has a mod that increases newbie's crit chances. Your reaction maybe something like this: LOL what a buttmad idiot. Yes, that would be my reaction too if i were to see this thread, but let me explain;

This server is known for catering to new players to get more traffic.(Although they've never openly admitted this but anyways.)

-They have random crits on at all times
-They ONLY run junction, goldrush, 2fort, badwater and dustbowl.
-Their admins somehow like these maps(but then they say these maps are terrible in mumble, i've gotten access to their "channel" a few times because they tried to form a clan which failed"), and force people to votemap them.
-Newbies get ridiculous random crits when they are in sticky situations, EVERY time. Yes, EVERY TIME. Whether it's a pyro hitting 5 crit shotties(not reserve shooter) in a row at -50 health, a soldier getting crockets AND crit shotties at -20 health.

Think i'm exaggerating? Just now i got beaten to death by 3 crit crossbows in a row, i was like "oh jarate crit again" when he got the first one, and then "cool he missed or i'd be dead", and then then the third one... "WHAT THE F-" I was battle medicing with the crossbow too so

My personal favorite:
-They banned the top 50 players on 2 of their servers(Me included), too keep new comers fresh.

I've done some research and found this and that. Given the server also has sourcemod(what server doesn't have this?)and the ability to only allow players below or above a specific amount of hours in tf2, this is highly possible.

Don't tell me to play on a different server, being a middle easterner, i have no choice but to play TF2 in these servers without seeing my shots registering a year after i click. There's just no alternative.

Also as further proof, i'd give you the IP to check it out but forum rules.

My problem is that this server doesn't affect only me, but the players who seem to play on these servers as well, they are not learning or fully enjoying the game. Whatever "their own decision" stuff you guys may say, they are not even aware that they are getting bullpootised every single moment they play on these servers.

They are insulting each other all the time, like "random crit noob", "sticky spammer", and other childish insults. And when the same insult goes to them, they say "i do whatever i want" Wouldn't this drive you insane?

So anyways back to topic, can i check for these modded servers with some sort of scanner or something? There is NO way these crits are all random.

Am i making it such a big deal? I have 2500 hours in this game and just recently learned about the servers in my country, used to play in UK or scandinavian servers which gave me more than +100 ping, making it near unplayable.

Should i just stop playing and gtfo?

Thank you.

If no i guess i have to suck it up and keep doing sfm and hammer. Also sorry i just had to get rid of these flowing in my mind thank you for reading, no TL;DR sorry

Here i press the submit new thread button forgive me my parents

I don't think stuff like "free crits for newbies" show up on them.

Best way, by far.
If you find one you want to look into, search it here. Plugins that are posted for download are required to have their source available. HLSW has the ability to read certain published CVars on remote servers, even without rcon. Most servers publish certain CVars, like SourceMod version and versions of various plugins. It's not exactly the scanner you're looking for, but it's the closest thing I know of.
