Thumbs down My opinion Dont Buy This Game

I really didnt like this game, the graphics wernt anything special, the weapons werent anything special, the plot was stupid and it was Really Short. The Shortness really buggs me, its not worth the money. Also, it was way to easy. Dont bother flaming becuase im prob not gonna waste my time on this game. It was just wasted money and thought id warn you guys.
If your looking for a good western, try Call of Juarez. Its very good.

at least some publisher cared about a new western game that could compare to OUTLAWS. yeah i'm sure not many of you will know about that old game. i liked GUN anyway. better than the rest of western stuff that was released.

which means: i would not buy call of juarez. so much for opinios.

I'm not sure what it is about this game but I really enjoy it. I've played through it twice and will probably give it another go this weekend. It has some issues but I find the game charming and with enough variety that I always have a good time with it.

I haven't played it since I bought my widescreen monitor, though, so I may not have the patience for it anymore if it doesn't support my native resolution.

No native resolutions Spyro, I just reinstalled and its like kotor, big wide rumps all over the place, I do disagree with the OP though, this game is definitely worth it, and it is definitely better than Call of Juarez in my own opinion.

This game is awesome. its an open-world GTA like western which sadly its the only one thats come to the PC - not including COJ Bound n Blood which is has a few areas that are open-ended but thats it. It has mulitplayer which i believe could have made this game even better. also coj bnb is moddable and this had no mod tools released for it so no new user content to keep it alive. other than that its a great western game but nothing compares to OUTLAWS. I just wish RS would release Red Dead series especially Redemption for the PC?

I would agree with one of the above posters. While there are *many* things that make this game annoying, including:

* the resolution
* the stuttering
* the low-res textures
* the lousy graphics for a 2005 game
* the mechanical NPC gestures when they talk in non-cinematic scenes
* not being able to escape out of cut-scenes or the ending credits

but I still had fun playing it. However, I would never play it again.

The open endedness is cool, but the annoying elements (especially the stuttering and lousy/low-res graphics) would probably ensure that I'll never really take advantage of that open endedness. I don't see myself ever playing it again.

Was it worth $20? Maybe. Maybe not. Jury still out on that one. I tend to think it isn't considering how many cheap good games there are out there. However, I'd buy it for 15 (30% off).

You want a real mind-screw? This game was released the same year as Doom 3 and Quake 4. BAM!!!

I don't feel strongly enough to say "don't buy this game". However, I would caution people it's not as great as you think it's going to be. It has really annoying things about it. If you can get it for 15 or less, I'd say what the heck, get it.

I got it as part of the Activision pack, and I found it quite fun, since for me at least, the cover is optional if your accuracy is good enough.
